1. Introduction
Welcome to Canada Local Jobs (“the Portal”). By signing up and using our services, you agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
2. Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old or meet the minimum legal working age in Canada.
- You must provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information.
- You must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
3. Account Registration & Security
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- You agree not to share your login details with anyone.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts found to be fraudulent or misleading.
4. Use of Services
- The Portal provides job search, application submission, resume hosting, and employer connection services.
- You agree to use the Portal only for lawful employment-seeking purposes.
- You shall not:
- Submit false, misleading, or incomplete information.
- Post offensive, discriminatory, or illegal content.
- Use the Portal for spam, advertising, or solicitation.
5. Privacy & Data Protection
- Your personal information is collected, used, and stored as per our Privacy Policy.
- Your profile and resume may be visible to employers registered on the Portal.
- You can update or delete your profile anytime.
- With your consent, we use your data and metadata to submit your profile to potential recruiters/hiring managers/employment agencies; if you do not agree on this you may not use our services
- We collect and process data under the Canada’s data privacy laws include the Privacy Act and the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA)
6. Application Process & Employer Communication
- The Portal facilitates job applications but does not guarantee job offers.
- We do not control employer decisions, hiring processes, or employment terms.
- Communication between you and employers is your responsibility.
7. Account Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or delete your account if:
- You violate these Terms.
- Your account remains inactive for an extended period.
- We detect fraudulent or abusive activity.
8. Liability & Disclaimers
- The Portal acts as an intermediary and does not guarantee job placement.
- We are not responsible for employer conduct, job offers, salary disputes, or employment conditions.
- We are not liable for any direct or indirect losses resulting from the use of the Portal.
- There is no financial transactions processed for a candidate unless it is requested by the candidate or the employer, which will require further details from the candidate and their consent to proceed in such manner
9. Modifications to Terms
- We may update these Terms at any time, with or without notice.
- Continued use of the Portal after updates implies your acceptance of the revised Terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of Canada, and any disputes shall be resolved in Canadian courts.
