Our Payment Service client based in Calgary looking for a QA Manager (Hybrid-Full time) starting from Feb, 17th.
Key Responsibilities:
- Candidate must be client focused to deepen client relationships and leverage broader credit union relationships, systems and knowledge
- Direct and guide project test teams to ensure the timely delivery of quality products/ functions consistent with the business needs and priorities of Payments Operations, Bill Pay, Interac, etc. departments, users
- Experienced in quality assurance automation and testing experience in the payments sector
- Manage testing all projects by reviewing and evaluating requirements and design documentation, developing test strategies/stories, approving the preparation of comprehensive test documentation, overseeing daily testing activities, and monitoring the ongoing progress of testing
- Designs and implements defect reduction programs
- Participate in the process to establish, communicate, and manage objectives, strategies and plans for the Testing area of UAT, ensuring quality principles are adhered
- Review planned activities for future initiatives, participate in forward-planning sessions and identify/ resolve conflicts between initiatives
- Develop and administer Quality Assurance standards and policies
- Develops and implements quality assurance problem reporting process and systems
- Assess the test requirements of projects and releases and approve the timing of releases within an integrated test schedule
- Appraise outstanding issues impacting the promotion of code to the Production environment and provide direction to minimize associated risks
- Approve test evaluations, review code implementation strategies, and authorize recommendations for promotion of code to the Production environment to ensure the highest quality of service in the delivery of all initiatives
- Manage the planning, scheduling, assignment and monitoring of testing activities for assigned projects to ensure appropriate staffing levels are maintained
- Manage the coordination of day-to-day testing efforts for assigned application systems and project testing efforts with other testing personnel, end users, technical support and development areas
- Troubleshoot when problems arise and contribute to their resolution in a hands-on manner when necessary
- Manage staff (current and new) and identify training requirements while championing a high-performance environment
- Analyze industry best practices to recommend improvements to methodology, test environments and workflow to promote an efficient and cost-effective UAT process
Key Skills requirements:
- Experience in Payment Services, Payment Gateways, Financial Domain is nice-to-have
- 4+ years of leadership role experience
- 10+ years of total technical experience in the QA field
- Must be resident of Calgary for 3 days in-office need
- Strong project management skills
- Certifications from ISTQB, Audits, or related is a plus point
