Data Management:
- In partnership with WCAN HR, ABS and Projects/Systems teams, clean up, validate, and maintain historical data to ensure accuracy and consistency
Data Collection, Reporting, and Analysis:
- Identify opportunities for improvement and automation of HR related processes, puts actions plans together to obtain them and reports progress in relation to HR performance.
- Collect, consolidate, analyze and validate people data into reports which support HR initiatives to drive organizational effectiveness
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency by performing regular data audits and validation checks
- Generate standard and ad-hoc reports on HR metrics such as turnover, headcount, training, compensation, talent acquisition and development
- Collaborate with HR team members to understand their reporting needs and requirements
- Identify opportunities to streamline HR reporting processes and implement improvements
- Design and develop HR reports, dashboards, and scorecards using reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Success Factors, Qlikview, SAP BI)
- Create visually appealing data visualizations to communicate data effectively
- Maintain a proactive customer focus, high degree of confidentiality and adherence to regulatory standards such as data privacy, GDPR, etc
- Interpret and translate business needs into actionable analytical insights and design, develop and implement innovative solutions that drive value for the business
- Maintain awareness of current trends in analytics with a focus on product and service development, delivery and support, and applying key technologies
- Manage and maintain all HR related record-keeping in accordance with Lafarge WCAN requirements, internal controls and Group standards.
- Collect, maintain, synthesize and distribute all HR key performance indicator (KPI) data, including strategic HR initiatives and HR Dashboard. Performs statistical analysis on HR related data to support identification of trends, priorities and actions. Prepares regular reports and presentations based on HR related data;
- Act as the main point of contact to lead the annual SD reporting campaign (Social Questionnaire) for the HR component in Western Canada in collaboration with the corporate reporting team.
Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for improvement and automation of HR related processes, creating action plans to implement continuous improvement initiatives relating to people data.
Projects:
- Participate in a variety of HR business cycle and process projects, ensuring timely completion and communication of performance measures and project status to the management team
Qualifications:
Education and Work Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Statistics, Data Science, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field in as asset
- 1 to 3 years of related experience in a data analytics or closely related role
- CHRP or CHRL designation an asset
Knowledge and Skills:
- Experience with understanding of HR metrics, KPIs, and their significance in organizational decision-making
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data findings into understandable and actionable insights for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Proficiency in data visualization tools and statistical software
- Proficiency with the Google suite of programs
- Experience with SAP and SuccessFactors is an asset
- Collaborative nature, can thrive in a dynamic environment and contribute to team objectives
- Ability to self-start and follow tasks through to completion.
